If you select a "New Phone Connection" on your application, we will contact you if the installation will attract a fee above $59.
Should a technician be required, we will contact you to advise of the appointment time.
Additional service charges (for each additional service connected at the same time, premises and customer) are as follows - Inplace: $59, Reconnect: $75.50, New: $179.
Additional charges may apply for items such as: cabling past the main distribution frame (MDF) or first socket where no MDF exists; trenching; or more difficult installations.
International Rates
SpinTel's Top 50 International call locations offer great value. The Top 50 include calls to mobiles in five countries, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and the US.
All Home Phone plans include $1.98 for the first hour to our Top 50 international countries.

Service connection time is approximately one working day when transferring an active service. Connection times may vary if you do not have an active service and we will advise you of a connection timeframe once the order has been placed.
You may continue to use your active service without disruption during the transfer.
39¢ call connection charge applies to timed calls and is in addition to International Special or max cost call rates.
Calls to 13/1300 numbers are charged at 35¢ per call.
Timed calls are billed in 60-second increments.
The Top 50 International Special is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If you are paying handset rental with your current provider, this monthly charge will continue to be billed by SpinTel until the handset has been returned.
Home phone features may differ from your current provider. A list of compatible features is displayed here.
Home phone features you have with your current provider may be transferred and monthly fees for those features will be billed by SpinTel.
The service will be delivered over the Telstra Wholesale or Optus Wholesale network.
FAQ
Max Cost Calls
A Max Cost call is a timed call up to the maximum call cost, after which the cost of the call remains at that price for the remainder of the call.
For example:
National call of 17¢ per minute, $2 Max Cost, flagfall of 39¢.
- You would pay 17¢ per minute up to $2, and pay only $2 (plus a 39¢ flagfall) for the rest of the call.
- For a call less than $2, you would pay only the per-minute rate (plus a 39¢ flagfall).
Top 50 International Special
The Top 50 International Special is a great way to enjoy saving on your International calls.
International Special calls will be charged at the per minute rate until you reach $1.98, after which the billing for the call will remain at $1.98 until one hour is reached. After one hour, you will then be charged at the applicable per minute rate for the remainder of the call.
For example:
- A two-minute call may cost 15¢ a minute with a 39¢ flagfall (2 min x 15¢/min + 39¢ flagfall).
- A call lasting anywhere between just over 13 minutes and one hour may cost $2.37 ($1.98 call special + 39¢ flagfall).
- A call that lasts longer than one hour may cost $1.98 for the call special, plus 15¢ for each minute beyond the first hour, plus 39¢ flagfall.
