Low Signal

On the Wireless Broadband program, the signal strength indicator is found on the bottom left side.

The signal varies between 0 and 5 bars. The speed you will get is proportional to the signal strength. If you have very low signal there are a few things you can try:

1. Try connecting a booster antenna to your modem.
2. Move your computer to a more open area, close to a window.
3. Use the extension USB cord to put your modem in a more open area.

To connect a booster antenna: On the Huawei modem, this antenna is connected to the slot on the side of the modem. You can purchase a booster antenna from us, or from any hardware store, just make sure it is compatible with your 3G modem.
