Plug the 3G modem into the USB slot on the back of the Netgear Router (or into USB extendor supplied then into the router). Then plug in the Ethernet cable from the LAN Port on the back of the router into your PC or Laptop (windows should automatically set it up).
Turn on the device and open Internet Explorer
In the address bar enter: 192.168.0.1 as shown. Press Enter or Go.

It will ask you for a username and password. Enter 'admin' as the username and 'password' as the password and press Enter or click OK

The following screen will appear. If it doesn't, click on Setup Wizard in the left hand menu. Click Next

The router will now detect your connection

Once it's done, you will see the following screen; Enter the settings as shown and click Next

In the following screen, enter the settings as shown and click Next
(Please note: APN = splns999a1 (lower case L after p)

The modem will update its settings

It will then attempt to connect to your internet connection based on the settings entered

Once it's done connecting, the Netgear will prompt you to setup your wireless security. It's generally good practice to enable this. Select Australia and click Next

It will prompt you to enter a name for your wireless network. You can leave it as the default or change it to one you prefer. Once you have decided on a network name, click Next

Click on Yes to setup a security password on your network

The security type that is selected is WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK. Click Next

Type in password between 8 and 63 characters to use and a network security key and click Next

You will now be shown a summary of settings. Click Finish at the bottem

If it asks you about updating the firmware, untick the box that says Check for Updated firmware Upon login

When prompted about cancelling the update, just click OK

On the Broadband settings page, click Connect if it doesnt already say connected at the bottom

You should now be able to browse the internet
