Connecting to a Wireless Network - Mac

1. This guide applies to Mac OSX 10.6, but may also be used for other versions.
   
   

2. Check the Menu bar on the top right and find the AirPort icon as displayed in the imsage below:

1. If the image is grey, you will need to turn Airport On.
   Simply click the icon and choose, Turn AirPort on.
   

1. Once AirPort is switched on, it should display a list of networks that are within range of your Mac. If you have received a wireless router from us, check that it is turned on.
   

2. The name of the wireless network (or SSID) should be displayed here as "SpinTel" in this list of networks.
   
   

3. Click on the "SpinTel" AirPort network to connect.
   

4. If asked for a password, enter the password listed in your Welcome Pack paperwork.
   Once connected, your computer will remember this password for next time you are within wireless range of the network.

1. When you connect to the network, make sure the network has the padlock symbol, it means the network is secure and requires a password to connect.

2. If you got the modem from us, the password is the same as your ADSL password.
