Mail 4.0

1. This guide is made using Apple Mail 4, but might apply to other versions.

2. Open Mail, select File and Add Accounts
   

1. In Add Account, fill in the appropriate information then click Continue.
   

1. For the Incoming Mail Server, enter the following information:
   
2. Account Type: POP
   
3. Description: Optional
   
4. Incoming Mail Server: pop3.spin.net.au
   
5. Username: username (without the @spin.net.au)
   
6. Password: your email password
   

1. If you get this error message, click on Setup Manually
   

1. Make sure there is no tick where it says "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)". Click Continue.
   

1. For the Outgoing Mail Server, enter the following details and click Continue:
   
2. Description: Optional
   
3. Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.spin.net.au
   
4. Tick: User only this server
   
5. Untick: Use Authentication
   
6. User Name: Blank
   
7. Password: Blank
   

1. Outgoing Mail Security.
   
2. Make sure there is no tick in Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Authentication is set to: None
   

1. Check all details in Account Summary. If they are not as follows, click Go Back and change
   

2. Account Description: Optional
   

3. Full Name: Your name
   
4. Email Address: username@spin.net.au
   

5. Username: username
   
   

6. Incoming mail server: pop3.spin.net.au
   

7. SSL: No
   
   

8. Outgoing mail server: smtp.spin.net.au
   

9. SSL: no
   
   

10. Tick: Take account online.
    

11. Once all the details have been confirmed, click Create. Mail is now ready for use.
