Generally speaking, these programs are able to determine the difference between malicious data and what is simply normal activity. There are times where these programs, either through user fault or automatic reconfiguration, can prevent access to certain services such as email and browsing.
If you are worried that any of these programs are affecting your services, temporarily disable them and try again. If you are unsure how to disable them, please refer to your programs instruction manual or online guide. Alternatively you can contact their support centre for assistance.
