Connect the Billion 7301VGP to the power, phone line and network to your PC. Turn it on and wait about 1 minute for it to boot up and establish an ADSL signal. Load Internet Explorer.
Type the following in the address bar: 192.168.1.254
When prompted for a username and password, type:

Click on VoIP on the left hand side and then click on General Settings
Enter the following information in the fields provided and click Apply at the bottom

Select Wizard in the menu on the left and the following screen will appear. Enter your username in both the Phone number and Authentication username fields. Also enter your password in field provided and click on Apply

At this stage we should save the settings. You can do so by clicking on Save Config at the bottom. Click on Apply to save the settings to flash.
On the left hand side, click on 'Configuration', then click on 'VoIP' then click on 'Call Features'. The settings should be as follows:
Note If you wish to change any settings here for call forwarding you may. Please note that forwarded calls will incur further call charges.
Click on Apply then click on Ring & Tone on the left hand side.
Ensure the region is set as follows. Then click on Apply.
IMPORTANT VoIP Prioritisation and QoS to ensure optimum quality calls IMPORTANT
Now we're going to ensure our VoIP calls take priority over all other Internet Traffic. On the left hand side click on 'QoS' and then click on 'Prioritization'.
If you use your Internet connection for downloads, you will need to have the following settings and then click Apply
Note If you have a non-default torrent or newsgroups/usenet port set, you must set it here under 'Source / Destination Port'. Source and Destination IP Address Range should be the local computer address of the computer/s downloading via Bittorrent or Usenet / Newsgroups.
Click on 'Outbound IP Throttling' on the left hand side and ensure the settings are as follows. Click on Apply.
Click on 'Inbound IP Throttling' on the left hand side ensure the settings are as follows. Click on Apply.
Now would be a good time to save your settings to the router. You can do so by clicking on Save Config at the bottom. Click on Apply to save the settings to flash.
You can now see if your VoIP Account has been successfully registered in your router by clicking on 'Status' and then 'VoIP Status' on the left hand side.
It should say that your VoIP line is registered. If so you can begin to make and receive calls via VoIP.
You have now setup your Open Router successfully.
