Amateur Radio station VK4KKD and VK4FTEP

 The home of the fabulous

"ONE MAN TOWER"

Some who do not know it might ask "what's so fabulous about this tower?"

Well - the answer to that question unfolds as you read through this website.

In particular - when you follow this link to the next page. http://www.spin.net.au/~aeitower/erecting

It's even on Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s49tnxT8F8

"Ru guo ni xiang zai tian tang zhao dao shang di ni suo neng de dao shi niao shi diao jin ni de yian jing li!" (Old Chinese proverb)

All heavy duty "One Man Towers" are fully certified to exceed the Australian Standard to the highest wind category and region category - in fact they exceed the Standard by a very substantial amount - when you buy and install a "One Man Tower" you can rest easy. With a 239 kph wind rating on the 15m tower I can safely say they are THE WORLDS STRONGEST SMALL FOOTPRINT FREE STANDING TOWER!

Many radio hobbyists never realise they are not operating at full efficiency. They buy a fancy "all bells and whistles" transceiver worth as much as a new car and they run a piece of second hand coax to what they think is an efficient antenna.

Pity thing is that beautiful new transceiver never realises its true potential because it is trying to operate through a less than optimised antenna.

Many radio hobbyists think their antenna is fine so long as it shows a good SWR through a tuner - their antenna is installed on a tower that is a real pain in the arse to work on - so the antenna is "tuned" as best they can - installed and that's it. They are trying to feed a "reactance" and never know it.

With the "One Man Tower" you can raise and lower your antenna system quickly safely and easily with BOTH FEET ON THE GROUND!!

The ease of getting to your antenna allows you to fine tune your antenna system to the enth degree.

The proof is in the pudding - you only have to listen to the people who have "One Man Towers" to realise just how good your station can sound when you are running a perfectly adjusted antenna system.

But typically a lot of hams will continue to run less then optimised antenna systems and they will try to make up for the poor antenna performance by driving amplifiers and ruining the enjoyment of others by wiping out large chunks of bandwidth.

Australian Enterprise Industrial now offers the complete "external station" - the fabulous "One Man Tower" - the tough "OzSpid Rotator" - and a range of antenna to suit the serious hobbyist.

The choice is yours - you can run the best or you can run with the rest!

Australian Enterprise Industrial is now the sole importer/distributor for Australia/New Zealand and Oceania for the terrific OzSpid Rotators  - The photo above shows the two available units -Azimuth and Elevation - you can find full details of these great antenna rotators on the page dedictated to them just click the link.

We still carry the great little Australian made 5:1 braking winch at a very competitive price of AUD$130 inc. GST.

(remember - it is not only against the law - it is bloody stupid - to use an ordinary ratchet pawl boat winch for lifting)

Here is a photo of the trailer mounted demo tower outside the workshop.

There is a growing demand for trailer mounted towers as more and more hams find it impossible to erect decent towers because of idiotic local authority restrictions.

So the alternative of having a "non permanent" instalation becomes more attractive - just hitch the portable tower to the family car and take the family to some nice outdoor location for a weekend of camping/fishing and portable radio operation. A great way to enjoy the hobby and provide enjoyment for the whole family instead of being shut away in a musty little radio shack worrying about causing tvi ..........

.........

Portable.....you bet! Here are the "old" and the "new" portable towers side by side.

(in the background is a 3el Yagi for 20m on the fixed station tower)

At SARCFEST Lismore - what a great group and club. Terrific day.

 Field day portable UHF/VHF

 A little info. on this.

4 x 12el DL6WU type yagi on 144MHz.

8 x 28el DL6WU type yagi on 432MHz.

10m to top of array.

The array measured 6.4m x 6m x 4.5m (almost 173 CUBIC meters of air space occupied)

Elevation and Azimuth rotators were OzSpid RAEL and RAK models

The effort was inspired by Wayne VK4WS - the will to push on supplied by John VK4JMC.

The moans and groans by Kev VK4KKD

.......

Two perspectives of a heavy duty OMT10 trailer mounted tower in its "travel mode"

.......

And a side and rear perspective of a trailer mounted OMT10

And finally here it is with a 13el HF LPDA deployed.

The trend toward these trailer mounted units is obviously related to the difficulties being encountered by hams trying to get permits to erect towers in many local authority areas.

But the PLUS side is the increasing number of portable stations now setting up decent stations for contesting.

I must admit that it is a bit of a thrill when I make DX contacts from my portable station. Especially when the contacts make very complimentary comments about signal quality from a "portable station" then are amazed when I tell them just what the portable station comprises.

Did you think the OMT was just for antenna arrays?

Here's a 20m OMT in Canada mounting a 2.25m wind generator.

........

And here is that famous singing ham in Denmark with his 20m OMT - just a little 5el 15m beam to try it out - then he stuck this 80m monster on it - scary!

We still carry our range of work/yard wear. 100% cotton in long sleeve and short sleeve shirts, trousers and shorts.

Just click the link to see the photos.

FINALLY THE NEW "MINI 10" IS HERE!!!!

you can see it here

Maybe you came here to browse through the antenna range.

Delta Loops - Quads - Yagi and assorted bits.

I have had several people ask me if I am in partnership with KVK Antennas.

I am not associated in any way shape or form with KVK Antennas.

DO YOU WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU ????

NO WAY - OF COURSE YOU DON"T.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???

GET A "ONE MAN TOWER" AND GET RID OF THE WORRY!!!

(Many Amateur Radio hobbyists are using towers that were never designed for the purpose that they are being used for. The genuine "One Man Tower" was designed specifically for use by Amateur Radio hobbyists - it incorporates more features and adds more safety to the hobby than any other small footprint tower in the world. Continual research and development has seen the towers remain as user friendly as possible while the use of the latest high grade steels of Australian manufacture ensures structural integrity. Built to a standard - not a price.)

Australian Enterprise Industrial is an entity unto itself and is a registered business.

I have not given any company/business or person permission to manufacture or market towers under the registered brand name "One Man Tower".

I am aware that some copies have been produced - these towers have not been built to genuine "One Man Tower" specifications - THEY WILL NOT SURVIVE THE SAME WIND FORCE OF THE GENUINE TOWERS.
